Monitoring the production & fulfillment of the COVID-19 vaccine
Acme Pharma developed a COVID-19 vaccine and was set to produce and distribute 3 billion doses in record time. The Acme leadership team needed an accurate, up-to-the-minute dashboard to monitor this historic challenge.

Acme’s leadership team needed a way to quickly view and assess the production and distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine worldwide – they needed a dashboard, fast.

Work closely with Acme’s team to access all necessary information, across multiple facilities, countries, and time zones.
Build a single source of truth for the leadership team to share the same, accurate information and be aligned on manufacturing and distribution data.

Our Solution
Due to intense demands, the Acme Leadership team was only available to us on one call – during which they shared their requests for the dashboard. Immediately following, we connected with the manufacturing and distribution teams to determine what data was available to use. Working with manufacturing and distribution, and following data visualization and dashboard best practices – we built a fully-functional, real time dashboard within two weeks of the initial request.

Freezer Farms – where to store it all
In addition to our leadership dashboard, we were tapped to build ‘Freezer Farm’ dashboards. A ‘Freezer Farm’ is where vaccines are stored in advance of distribution. These Freezer Farms grew exponentially with the production of the COVID-19 vaccine and the team needed a way to better monitor these huge cold storage facilities. Working closely with the Freezer Farm team and developers, we crafted a solution incorporating data visualization and simplified map views of the growing facilities.

OUTCOME
Giving Leadership an up-to-the-minute review of worldwide vaccine manufacturing
Within two weeks, we built a fully functional dashboard to give the leadership team clear, accurate data - to help them direct the manufacturing and distribution of this life-saving vaccine. In addition, we continued to update the dashboard as more capabilities came online and more data was available.
And shortly after completing the Leadership Dashboard, we were tapped to help build the Freezer Farm dashboards with a similar timeline.
